Lavender Love
One of the scents I remember most vividly from childhood is Yardley’s lavender talcum powder — a rare treasure occasionally brought by relatives from abroad. The sweet, exotic aroma and the purple-painted metallic tin still linger in my memory. It’s lavender blooming time here, and every time I come across these beautiful flowers, always surrounded by bumblebees — nature’s little lavender lovers — I’m reminded of the little girl who couldn’t get enough of that scent. This painting was born from a quiet moment shared with lavender and bumblebees. (Digital painting on iPad)
